Pomeroy continues to move forward with their activities to push the Douglas County commissioners to Vote “Yes” to rezone the Homestead property  to a Spa/Resort from a residential zone.

ROXBOROUGH PARK FOUNDATION POSITION ON REZONING

Roxborough Park Foundation has submitted their response to opposition to Douglas County. You can view this an many other responses of opposition on Douglas County’s website.

SAVE OUR ROX – CURRENT STATUS

Our Mission has been, and still is, to transition this entire property into a conservation easement.  We wish the existing homeowners would put this property themselves into an easement, but they have chosen not to do this.  We are exploring other options to preserve this property and we will share additional  information with you  in the near future.

DOUGLAS COUNTY PROJECT INFORMATION

It is not easy to track down the details of this project on Douglas County’s website; however, here is the link where you can find the details about what referral agencies have responded, how many homeowners have responded, and the status of the project.  Check it out here.  If your browser will not work, the project number is:  ZR2022-041

DOUGLAS COUNTY REZONING TIMELINE

Some people believe that Pomeroy has either begun breaking ground or has built some buildings already.  This is untrue!  Douglas County has a precise process that it follows for rezoning property. Below is a high level overview of the steps to rezoning.  We are at Step 3You can review all the details of the rezoning process here from Douglas County’s website.  Be sure to scroll down to see all the pages with the details of each of these process steps.  In summary, it could be as soon as 6 months or longer than one year until we get to the public hearing.

Please remember we are a group of volunteers who are trying our best to provide you information and to help transition this property into a conservation easement.  Should you be able to offer any professional assistance, such as legal, marketing or non-profit professional experience please email us at saveourrox2@gmail.com.

Thank you for your continued support to Save Our Rox!
